Beware Of Gods is a Minneapolis-based doom sci-fi project crafting colossal, narrative-driven soundscapes that fuse industrial weight, cosmic horror, and mythic storytelling. Helmed by The Archetype, the project exists as both a musical force and an evolving universe—where characters, symbolism, and sonic architecture converge into a singular, immersive experience.
Blending monolithic riffs with cinematic sound design and philosophical undertones, Beware Of Gods transforms personal collapse, addiction, and rebirth into a larger mythos centered around the protagonist I Nomad. The result is music that feels less like a collection of songs and more like a transmission from a collapsing world.
With the upcoming release of “Upon Whom The Last Light Descends III: Behead The Oracle,” the project reaches its most refined and devastating form yet.
At its core, Beware Of Gods is not simply a band—it is a document of transformation.
Emerging from near-fatal addiction and the long arc of recovery, The Archetype channels lived experience through the lens of a dystopian cosmic narrative. The central figure, I Nomad, traverses a decaying universe of false prophets, collapsing systems, and fractured identity—mirroring the internal war between destruction and transcendence.
Sonically, the project exists at the intersection of:
